Shuri is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe, and is the younger sister of T'Challa (Black Panther). In the comics, Shuri was trained from a young age to be a warrior and protector of Wakanda.
In the 2018 Black Panther film directed by Ryan Coogler, Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) is portrayed as a brilliant scientist and inventor, responsible for creating much of the advanced technology used by Wakanda. She is also depicted as T'Challa's younger sister and an important character in the story.
Throughout the film and in subsequent appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Shuri is shown to be quick-witted, outspoken, and fiercely loyal to her family and her country. She is also a fan-favorite character among Marvel fans, with many clamoring for a spin-off or solo film featuring her as the lead.
